Snack for iftar: Onion Pakkavada


Assalamu'alaikum....
this beautiful monday morning, I want to share a special food from Malayalam (kerala, India), "May Allah give me chance to go to there" . aameen... hehee
I got that recipe from shiju-kka, it's so delicious to be a snack for Iftar today. Let's try it! ^_~

~ Onion Pakkavada ~

Ingredients:
-onion (chopped) 2 cups
-gram flour 1 cup
-garlic (chopped) 7 cloves
-green chillies (sliced) 5 
-curry leaves 3 stalks
-chilly powder 1/4 tsp
-salt to taste
-oil (ghee or butter), for deep frying

method:
1. mix the ingrediens from 1 to 7 well
2. add little water and prepare a thick butter
3. heat oil in a work, fry some of the onion mixture
4. fry the pakkavada on medium heat 'till golden brown on both side or untill crispy
5. drain the pakkavada on en absorbent paper
6. serve it hot

Alhamdulillah.... hmmm......yummy! actually I got some trouble with this recipe, but anyway I can cook it ;)
